Who's right when there's a discrepancy in a contract?

The lease is incorrect as it contradicts itself. You can point out to them ,in writing, that it is wrong and that you will exercise your right to terminate in 6 months. I assume that you have a copy of the agreement so that you can refer to the relevant paragraphs.
