Advice regarding kitten and 8 month old child?

you need to teach them early on if there are any 'rules' you want them to go by, such as not coming on beds/cots then put a baby gate on your door or close the door so she cant get in. it is understandable you dont want her in the bedrooms, and is not a rediculous story as many babies have died from cats/kittens laying on them. we got our cat when our daugther was 9/10 months old, she was 3 months at the time and luckily litter trained. she always wanted to come in the bedroom and would meow to come in and ended up scratching our carpet to pieces. if you can make her an area to sleep in maybe a cage for night time use so she gets used to being in one place during the night. it wlil get easier as she gets older dont worry, it was a nightmare for us at first but we held it out and it was worth it.
