Travelling in australia with check on baby luggage?

im going from melbourne to sunshine coast and i know that baby luggage is free but i haven't payed for check on luggage, so my question is do you know if its still free i have a porta cot, car seat and a average size travel bag that doesn't look like a baby bag will that still be free? or should i buy the check on luggage?
